I am one week away from leaving home and flying across the globe to Verviers, Belgium. I am nervous. I am excited. I am stressed. I am worried. I am sad. I am ready to be there! I am nervous about the responsibility of preparation and planning and safety. I am excited about seeing so many new things and experiencing new adventures. I am stressed about balancing school work and taking advantage of fun opportunities. I am worried something will go wrong and I will lose something or find myself in unsafe situations. I am sad to leave my friends, family, and Benjamin. I am sad that I will be missing out on a semester at Freed-Hardeman University. Mostly, I am ready to start this adventure! I am so excited for all that this trip holds in store for me. I am excited to meet and grow close to all of the people on this same trip. I am excited to experience new cultures, foods, languages and encountering the history Europe holds. I love to learn and I know this trip will teach me so much. I am so thankful I have the opportunity to go on this trip. It is a life changing experience and holds endless memory making. My goals are: to fit in as many new foods and locations as possible, take lots of pictures, document everything, fit in some school here and there, develop new friendships, be spontaneous, and continue to deepen and strengthen my relationship with God. I hope to find God in all of His creations that I will be seeing for the first time! Europe, here I come!
I will be visiting Belgium, France, Austria, U.K., Germany, Scotland, Amsterdam, Greece, Italy, Ireland, Switzerland, and hopefully more!
