Peace and Love Tour
Today we did a day trip to the West McDonnell ranges where we did three walks and also took a quick look at Simspons Gap. On the way there in the car we played lots of I-spy. (Editor’s Note: This game was much more successful today than on our previous attempts earlier in this trip because Orion has stopped picking obscure concepts to spy such as ‘South’ and ‘Space’). The first walk was the longest one, walking across an 860 million year old sea floor. The second one was a walk up the lookout and then into the mouth of the gorge at Serpentine Gorge and the third through a rocky gorge area at Ormiston Gorge. When we were nearly back in Alice Springs we stopped at an old friend of Daddy’s place for an hour to have afternoon tea and a catch up. When we got back it was getting late so we watched TV and had some down time.
