Peace and Love Tour

Today we woke up and left Port Hedland, we drove to 80 Mile Beach but we decided not to have lunch there. We didn’t even get out of the car because it looked like all of a sudden clouds were going to be above us and there was going to be lightning and thunder (Editor’s Note: actually it was just because it was too windy to enjoy the beach). Instead we ate lunch at a roadhouse then we kept on driving but we decided to stop at another roadhouse for a quick 10-15 min break. Surprisingly they had stupid, annoying, dumb lyrebirds. Whoever thought up the name its dumb, first because they’re not birds and what does lyre even mean?
(Editor’s Note: It appears Mars thought the lyrebirds were what we called the prickles we kept getting in our feet. We have now clarified matters and Mars actually wanted to say the prickles were stupid, annoying and dumb. There were also actual lyrebirds at the Sandfire Roadhouse where we had our second break).
Then we drove another hundred and seven loooooooonnnnnnnng kms to a roadstop for the night. It was a very big roadstop with 20 caravans/campers spread out so we played lots of tiggy and hide and seek games with a boy called Brock who we met there. After dinner we made a small fire so we could cook more marshmallows.
(Editor’s Note: I’m still trying to get rid of the same bag of giant Costco marshmallows we left Melbourne with. As well as cooking them on campfires I am adding them to warm milo and chopping them up to mix into desserts but I think we have purchased a never ending bag of marshmallows).
