Peace and Love Tour

Today we went to the Maritime Museum where we went on a tour of the HMAS Ovens which is a submarine used by the Australian Navy from the 1960’s to the 1990’s. It wasn’t a yellow submarine – it was grey! We also went to the gallery and pirate exhibition. Then we went to the roundhouse for the 1pm cannon fire, it was louder than a gunshot. Before radio signals were invented the cannon was fired at 1pm every day so the captains of the ships in the harbour could set their watches.

Then we got free milkshakes and chips from Aunty Julia’s friend Kate who works at a restaurant in Fremantle. When we got back to the caravan park we went to the beach and built a sand fort to try and protect a shell from the waves.
