Peace and Love Tour
Today the first thing we did was go through the Katherine Gorge which was really 8 gorges separated by rock bars. The first one was 3km, then 2.5, then 1.8, then 1.6, then 1.5, then 1.6, then 1.2, then 0.8. (Editor’s Note: Our river cruise only took us through the first two gorges and we had to walk between boats as we changed from the first gorge to the second gorge). Then we went and looked at a shop with lots of rocks which we all thought should have been listed on the tourist attractions on the town map. The rocks were only half the price of all the commercial ones we have seen and he had tonnes of them, all different sorts. He has been collecting them all over the NT for 30 years. Then we went to Katherine Hot Springs, which were luke warm springs. We swam in there for 1.5 hours, then we went back and played on our screens and had Maccas for dinner.
