SophieMaree's Travel Adventures

Last Day in Queenstown today - we flew out at 4pm for the journey back home. It has been a great, fun filled holiday..I have had loads of fun and seen some beautiful scenery but as always it is great to be home too!

We woke up this morning and booked in our parasailing for 11am. Wooh, I was so nervous but excited too. We made our way up to the Skyline Gondola and caught it up to the top for a couple Luge rides before making our way over to the parasailing desk, we checked in and they allocated us each an instructor that we would be jumping with - I was lucky and got the young, fun one of the bunch haha!

We got all strapped up and ready to jump, I was absolutely s***ting bricks at this point in time needing constant reassurance from my instructor that I wasn't going to die lol

My instructor had a valid point "mate, I am going to be strapped to you and there is no way I am getting all the way down there any other way but safely" was his response - it was good enough for me and I calmed a bit more after that.

I was second to jump, it was so pretty once we were floating back down to the ground, so peaceful and looking over the whole of Queenstown was just incredible. I am super glad that I got to experience paragliding while i was there, I won't be forgetting it anytime soon!

We then made our way to our fave lunch place - Devil Burger for our last feed in Queenstown. The burger was yummy and we got given a free plate of chips with our burger purchase because we had just done paragliding which was an added bonus ;)

Then for the trip back to the apartment for the final time to pack our belongings and make the journey back to the airport. The flight wasn't too bad, I stayed awake for most of it and we had a $10 flight voucher each so we got to have some snacks on the plane which was also nice.

When we eventually arrived home to Sydney it was pouring rain, much different to the nice sunny weather we had just left but it was nice to see my brother and mumma greet me at the aiport, looked like they had missed me a bit too.

Now time to settle back into the routine of home life again and plan the next trip overseas!!!

Until Next Time,
Sophie :)
