Is.....AMERICA!!

I have been counting down for the last six months for this trip.
Busy planning all our activities, discussing the different places we want to visit and discussing what we would like to do. I cannot believe we are almost just a week away from flying out, Ah!

Pete and I will be venturing around the West Coast of USA and we've been planning this holiday for so long now that I cannot believe we are actually going. I have been very fortunate and travelled most of Australia, been around the pacific and have also been to the South Island of New Zealand but nothing compares to the big US trip and I am so freaking excited for it to begin.

This will be mine and Pete's first trip away together as most of our trips away generally have included either family or friends - sometimes even both! We both live together and have for a number of years now so I don't think we will have any troubles getting along (hopefully, ha)

I am mostly looking forward to just being able to step out of our usual routine of life; work, sport, uni, paying bills, work, sport, uni, paying bills bleh - it's a continuous cycle that I am sure we all get stuck in from time to time and I feel like it's been ages since we were both able to step out of our regular routine and actually enjoy life for a bit so this should trip should be good.

Our holiday will start with us flying into Los Angeles where we will stay for 10 days. We have a hire car booked there and so much planned, 10 days sounds like a lot but our days are jam packed with all sort of things. I plan to do a sh!t ton of shopping and am looking forward to spending our days cruising around and sussing out the LA way of life.

We have a trip to Mexico booked which should be exciting before we continue our road trip through to Las Vegas - so FREAKING excited! We then will finish our trip with a relatively relaxed week in San Francisco. All up we will be away for 3 weeks, I feel like a little kid again waiting for Santa to arrive!

I've been busy getting everything sorted for our trip but as usual I am a little nervous about leaving my kitty, Snowball.
I always get so worried about leaving him and even though I know he will be in the most amazing care I still stress that he will get scared by not knowing where we are..and if I'm completely honest I am going to miss him a heck load too, he is my little mate!

I am super looking forward to continuing my travel adventures with my online diary, the big test with such a long holiday is keeping up with the updates - wish me luck! :)
