We were able to have bit of a much needed sleep-in this morning. Pete and I have been go-go-go since we arrived here on Monday and haven't stopped with jam packed days.
Today we don't have much planned other than a big shopping spree, we haven't had much time to shop over here as yet and probably won't have much time after today so I'm looking forward to checking the American shops out and sussing out their pricing on everything. We have heard the Citadel Outlets in LA are amazing and cheap so that's todays plan.
We spent quite a few hours at the shops, they are massive and the parking was hectic. Worse then trying to find parking spaces at the shops at Christmas time back home...so worth it though as the outlets were great.
Pete and I stopped for lunch, we ended up getting some Subway. It's not overly exciting but Pete and I are getting a bit sick (and fat) from all the burgers and fries so we thought time for something semi-healthy. It tasted a little bit different to the Subway we have back in Aus and the choices were quite different although still tasted nice.
We then started with our shopping and bought quite a bit for fairly decent prices. Pete came out a little better then I did having more success with purchases then me but I ended up buying a new pair of sunnies from the Guess store on sale and also bought a nice sweater.
I was also on the hunt for a new pair of Soccer boots, my current ones are nice but given that Soccer isn't a huge women's sport in Aus I struggle to find a decent pair and often end up having to wear kids sizes because my feet aren't large enough to wear the men's size boots.
I generally try to get a new pair every season and know that soccer boots are heaps cheaper over here as I usually buy them online from the US plus shipping and it still works out cheaper than if I purchased them in Aus. I didn't have much luck finding any though as it is out of season for Soccer, the next season doesn't start up again till Feb.
Oh well.
Pete ended up buying some really nice leather jackets for going out in, they probably aren't real leather but they do look nice and were only $50 each - you'd be paying close to $80 back in Aus for the same thing, even at the outlets! Pete also found the Billabong store, he purchased a new pair of DC shoes, a tee shirt and a pair of jeans for only $80 in total. From a surf shop that's crazy, we generally pay $180 just for the shoes back home!!
We are heading back to the Hotel now for a relatively quite evening.
We have a ton of washing to put on and are hoping to have some dinner at the restaurant located in our Hotel, we haven't tried the dinner menu as yet but their breakfast was quite nice.
We were meant to be going to SeaWorld tomorrow in San Diego but have decided to post-pone it until Tuesday, hoping that the crowds will be a bit smaller throughout the week.
Instead we will head back into Los Angeles and go on a Hollywood Stars Tour then check out the shopping Malls over here.
We've been told they are massive!
Will check in again tomorrow
