My next and first official trip overseas by plane is to New Zealand with my boyfriend and his parents and I am that excited!

It is exactly 5 weeks now until we leave and I am trying so hard not to rush my life away as i prepare for the trip with new clothing and researching all the cool things i plan to do whilst over there. We are heading to the South Island - Queenstown mainly for the snow but we are also having a quick overnight trip to Christchurch where the earthquake took place a few years back causing such devastation to the community. It will be sad to actually see first hand the devastation a natural disaster can cause but will also be a real eye opener for me to see how a community can bounce back from such thing - I have read/heard they have built a tin city where all the shops and cafes are operating out of little sheds that have been painted and set up so nicely, it sounds a bit lame but the pictures of it look super cool and I am so excited to see it!

I am most excited to see the snow over there. I am newish to the whole snow thing - my boyfriend snowboards and has for most of his life, I tried snowboarding for the first time about two years ago and failed, it was just so difficult for me to pick up so last year we went to Falls Creek Victoria and I tried my luck at Skiing and it's so much easier for me, I had so much fun which I think is why I am also super excited for the snow!

Ahh I cannot wait for this holiday - so excited :)

I will keep in touch with how the countdown is going in the lead up to the holiday and then continue hopefully with daily posts on my adventures (it's the remembering part I am more worried about but will give it a shot!)
