Back Down To Earth
Up at six and on the road soon after to catch a train to Pisa. Everything seemed to fall into place today. We were on the bus to the train station 3 minutes after we got to the bus stop. On the train to Pisa 20 minutes upon arriving at the station. Got to Pisa around 9:30 and at the tower by 10. Perfect day with clear skies and around 30 degrees. The leaning tower of Pisa has always fascinated me. Amazing it was built just under 900 years ago and it is still standing. Recently it has had a little help to make sure it won't fall. Built as a bell tower, it started to lean about the time they were on the third level. Amazing they kept building it. Got to see it and climb to the top. Another notch off the done-that-list. We spent a little time walking

Pisa

around Pisa. Nice little place, but very busy. Wasn’t hard to find the tower. Just had to follow the crowds! We spent most of the day in Pisa wandering around and looking at other things of interest. Really enjoyed our day at this historic place. Took some gag pictures before we left. Kind of the thing to do I guess!
