Back Down To Earth
What a crazy day of travel! Katelyn and I knew today was going to be a bit tense with our travel plans. We went from Plitvice Lakes in Croatia to Budapest, Hungary. Sounds simple except our schedules left no room for error. Caught a bus at 6:52 in Plitvice. The bus was on time which was a good start. Needed to get to Zagreb on time as we had a train to Budapest booked a half hour later. We knew we had to get from the bus depot to the train station in time to catch the train. Was a half hour between scheduled arrival and departure. Got to Zagreb 5 minutes early and jumped in a cab to go to the Train Station. Arrived with time to spare, but the train to Budapest had changed. Unsure why but the train platform for Budapest had a local train on it. Didn't seem right and all were confused. We all got on the train and went out of Zagreb to a small station. We were met with 5 buses to take us to another train. 20 minutes later we were dumped at a train station to wait for another train. went to Budapest. We arrived 10 minutes later than the scheduled time. Had a little trouble figuring out the trams and finding our Airbnb, but eventually we arrived to a nice little place all to ourselves. We had a great meal and settled in for the night. Looks to be a fantastic place. Can't wait for tomorrow!
