As things usually happen, things turn for the better if you wait long enough. Today was a day where things turned good. Woke up and tried to load pictures into my diary. It worked! Wanted to get my Tibet trip on the go. Wasn't completely satisfied with the tour I had decided on. Found a tour that would allow me to walk across the Nepalese border. Changed tours and got all the paper work done. Had to find a copy shop that would give me quality photos and copies to send for my Tibet permit. Now I feel good about that. Went down to the old town in Lijiang and wandered around. Had lunch at a little place and

Lijiang a Breathe of Fresh Air......

As things usually happen, things turn for the better if you wait long enough. Today was a day where things turned good. Woke up and tried to load pictures into my diary. It worked! Wanted to get my Tibet trip on the go. Wasn't completely satisfied with the tour I had decided on. Found a tour that would allow me to walk across the Nepalese border. Changed tours and got all the paper work done. Had to find a copy shop that would give me quality photos and copies to send for my Tibet permit. Now I feel good about that. Went down to the old town in Lijiang and wandered around. Had lunch at a little place and
had a great chat with a young lady in the restaurant. Later, I returned back to the hostel and finished doing my laundry and paperwork for Tibet. Met a couple from Switzerland and had supper with them. Had a great Lijiang hotpot for supper. Good conversation which ended up with we will be in Peru about the same time, maybe we will see you then! Came back and a young Spanish lady didn't want to do the Tiger Leaping Gorge by herself tomorrow, so now I have a hiking partner for a day or two. Just a breathe of fresh air after the travel and issues of the last few days. The old town of Lijiang was very quaint and pleasant to walk around. It is now the unofficial slow season and it is easier to see things. I guess the other part of the fresh air is no pollution here. Very happy to hike the tiger leaping gorge for the next 2 days with fresh air! One can only hope tomorrow is as good as today, but only one thing is for sure: It will be interesting!
