Back Down To Earth
A day of inefficient travel, unsettled weather, beautiful landscapes, and Plum Brandy. Started the day getting on the 8:30 bus to Plitvice Lakes park. We were travelling 260 km, but it took us 5 1/2 hours to get there. Combination of milk run bus trip and delays for many different reasons. We had wanted to see all of Plitvice today as we had to book an early bus to Zagreb tomorrow. We found our accommodations and quickly went to the park. Didn't think we could see the whole thing, but wanted to see all that we could. Ended seeing the whole park in 4 hours. A little rushed but we did it despite

rainy weather. This place is fantastic. A must see for everyone. Lakes, ponds, waterfalls, canyons, rock faces etc. This place has it all in abundance. We weren't expecting to see the whole park, but we got lost and eventually ended up seeing it all. Glad we did because we would have missed some fantastic scenery. Returned back to a meal at the AirBnb. They started the meal off with a shot of homemade Plum Brandy and ended it that way as well. Brandy tasted like moonshine and had that kinda kick to it. Had a good meal with some fellow travelers and Plum Brandy. All in all the night ended well.
