Back Down To Earth
Woke up this morning to rain! Not possible as we have rarely seen clouds and on one occasion a thunder storm. We were going to go to the islands off Split, hire a boat and travel around from island to island. At least we hoped to do that! Had to abandon that idea, so we decided to take a trip inland to Krka National Park. They have some awesome waterfalls there. Thought maybe it wouldn't be raining in off the coast. Caught a bus to Skraden and arrived around 1:45. Got out to the park and waterfalls by 2:30. The waterfalls lived up to their reputation as did the weather. Turned hot and muggy by the time we

Split
Woke up this morning to rain! Not possible as we have rarely seen clouds and on one occasion a thunder storm. We were going to go to the islands off Split, hire a boat and travel around from island to island. At least we hoped to do that! Had to abandon that idea, so we decided to take a trip inland to Krka National Park. They have some awesome waterfalls there. Thought maybe it wouldn't be raining in off the coast. got there. When we arrived back to Skraden we rushed to the bus depot to get a return ticket. The next bus was full but there was one leaving from a different company right away. We got on to find they had oversold and we were the only passengers without a seat. So we sat on the floor and rode the hour and 10 back to Split. Japanese girls thought it was funny and laughed at us for about 10 minutes before minding their own business. Was a pleasant ride back to Split. Had some pizza for supper and went back to our accommodations. We are surprisingly tired tonight, so it may be an early night. We have an early bus to Plitvice Lakes tomorrow. All in all a good day that didn't start that way.
