Family Europe Trip, June-August 2018

We were a bit early to check into our accommodation but managed to get a park in a busy city center and go for a bit of sight seeing. Lord o Lord it was HOT. 36 degrees and you can just imagine 36 degrees in Europe...it cannot compare with Australian 36 degrees. We we saturated, tired and couldn't wait to get back to our accommodation.

We ate in a great restaurant outside in the middle of very narrow roads. Buses, mini truck, cars, scooter everyone seemed to have fitted, squeezing through between parked cars and pedestrians. We are so lucky in Australia to have space to walk, park and drive on wide roads. But at the same time we are in Avignon - France.

We were absolutely exhausted by the time we got the apartment that we literally just crashed and ordered PIZZA. Yes, we did. Heat got to us. :( No sea to swim in or pool to cool down.

Avignon is the city in southeastern France’s Provence region, is set on the Rhone River. From 1309 to 1377, it was the seat of the Catholic popes. It remained under papal rule until becoming part of France in 1791.
