What can we say about L’Escala...wow, wow, wow.
It is situated on the Costa Brava, located between the southern end of the Gulf of Roses and Cala (bay) Montgo. It is an important fishing port which was VERY evident as EVERYONE was eating seafood especially clamps...not too sure why! They didn't look like they had any taste or would feel you up... :). I would definitely stay hungry :).
We also visited Lake of Banyoles. Lake Banyoles is the largest natural lake in Catalonia. The lake is approximately 2100m by 750m. We swam in it and OMG what a swim that was. So clean, no salt, no sore eyes and felt sooooooo good. Definitely the highlight of our another amazing day. Luka and Zak were over the moon with our trip to Lake Banyoles.
Our day was completed by having a swim at L’Escala beach. We are very fortunate that L’Escala has quiet a few beaches which make the beaches less crowded and more enjoyable.
This city is highly recommended. LOVE,LOVE,LOVE.
