Finally - Macchu Picchu! The rains during this season were really heavy so we had to opt for a train instead of the Inca Trail. We were hoping for a two hour ride in the common train that is used by locals, with chickens and sheep, but this train was only available for Peruvian citizens. We as foreigners had to travel by a very expensive but also very picturesque tourist train.
The Macchu Picchu site was even better than in any pictures I've seen, and it is indeed impressive how the incas could build this site on a hardly accessible mountain and with such precise knowledge of seismology and astronomy. Nothing else needs to be said, now just pictures.
