Balkans and Latin America
This weekend we escaped from the heat of the city to Tigre, a town 28 km north from Buenos Aires, with a large number of big and small islands along the river Sarmiento. You take a boat (lancha) to the island of your choice and disappear in the oasis. La lancha took us to a tango meeting, mostly consisting of local dancers who came there to relax, meet friends and share good moments. We all danced by the river, had picknicks, talked, played truco (the Argentinian card game), danced, shared mate, made asado, danced again, talked world problems, shared fernet (an alcoholic herbal drink that tastes like medicine), tried to sleep in a tent, could not sleep and went to dance again. I was too much in the moment to take pictures, so here are the few I did take and with bad quality:

La lancha took us to a tango meeting, mostly consisting of local dancers who came there to relax, meet friends and share good moments. We all danced by the river, had picknicks, talked, played truco (the Argentinian card game), danced, shared mate, made asado, danced again, talked world problems, shared fernet (an alcoholic herbal drink that tastes like medicine), tried to sleep in a tent, could not sleep and went to dance again. I was too much in the moment to take pictures, so here are the few I did take and with bad quality:
the dance floor overlooking the river, dancing by the river, the DJ, the boat trip to the island, asado and the asado team (I participated in the asado making mostly by taking pictures).
This weeked has left nice memories and numerous mosquito bites.
