Back on this continent, a big part of my heart is still there, over the Atlantic ocean. I often think how lucky I am to have experienced this, how much it fills my life with happiness, how much it has changed me as a person!
Back at my parents' place in Bulgaria, taking it easy, going to the thermal springs sometimes, enjoying the sun and heat, exploring the garden with grapes, kiwis, figue, etc., observing the local life, reflecting over the experiences. Nevertheless, the traveller's spirit is very much awake, so already planning some trips!
Today we went on a short trip to the neighbouring Macedonia, just 20 km away. We passed by a nice tidy village Novo Selo with a food market and then continued to the town of Strumitsa.
The nature is as beautiful as in Bulgaria, with numerous corn and tabaco fields. The language is similar, though the alphabet includes some latin latters. The houses are much nicer and tidier compared to the Bulgarian ones and the overall impression is that the standard of life is a bit better, however, I'm not sure whether it is really so.
