Peace and Love Tour

Today we were staying in the same place as yesterday which meant we set off to do activities at 10:00am. The first thing we did was go to the info centre but when we got there there was a sign on the door saying they had moved places. When we got to the actual info centre the lady there told us what we could do so today we decided to do the blowholes, whaling station and visit the gap. The first thing we did was visit the gap. It was a gap in the rocks where water could bash on the rocks and spray 30 metres high on average but a sign said that a few times it has sprayed higher than the look out!!! That’s more than 71 metres!!!!!! The next thing we did was the blowholes. The way the blowholes work, when a big wave comes the holes in the top of the cliff spurt out air and sea spray so fast and so strong that if you stood on top of it it could probably fling you 2 metres in the air and into the sea. The last place we went was the whaling station where we learned about whales and whaling. Whaling is were you go out to sea and use sonar tracking to track down whales and kill them for whale oil. It isn’t done in Australia anymore because whales are protected species now. After that we went shopping and then watched TV and that was our day.
