Peace and Love Tour

Today we drove to the centre of Australia, known as Lambert’s centre. To get there we had to go on 110 km of major unsealed road that I would have rated 7 out of 10. Then we had 13 km of 4WD track that was a bit like steep point but not as bad. We got to the centre where there was a pole you could stand under with a Australian flag on top. We got lots of photos but then Mars managed to fall over a chain while not looking where he was going and land on his chest and tummy and wind himself. We drove the whole thing again in reverse (feeling like I was going to throw up the whole time.) On the way we had passed these Aboriginal people who were stopped on the side of the road. We decided that if they were still there on the way back we would see if they needed help. Turns out we saw them on the way back. We stopped and they said that they weren’t broken down but they needed sugar, meat and cigarettes. The only way we could help them was giving two small packets of rice crackers bits of ham and a nearly finished Tim Tam packet because most of our stuff was in the caravan which we left at Kulgera Roadhouse. We kept on going and had lunch back at the road house then we set off at around 1pm. We drove 185ks to another more fancy road house where we took a break, went to the toilets, got ice creams and donuts and my grandma fuelled up. We drove another 130ks to our road stop were we are staying tonight (but not our grandma because she didn’t want to stay somewhere without power). We were the third people there but we got the best spot. By the time we had finished setting up there were 7 groups there. There were some people with really noisy kids behind us that were pretty young.
