Backpacker.

Day 30
I had nothing planned for today, so that meant I could do anything I felt like. As for today, that meant get a new tattoo. I knew that it's something people think is stupid, but to be honest, a lot of the places here are up to modern standards. I am very happy with the way it turned out, and I'm also confident that I got it in a good shop. Google takes care of most questions these days and that is true for trusted tattoo shops in Bangkok as well.

I went back to the hostel at about 14:00 with the finished tattoo and spent the entire afternoon doing nothing. It was 34 degrees today and I have had so much water that I couldn't drink more if i tried. It is now 22:00 and I will go to bed, I have to go to the tailor tomorrow and in the afternoon I must go get the tattoo cleaned at the studio.'

Day 31
Turns out the tailors are not just professional in terms of customer service, they are highly efficient as well. My suit got done one day earlier than promised and that means I can

leave for Chiang mai tonight. I went out for some lunch at a nearby place and got blown away by the best fried rice of my life. I'm glad I took a picture of it just so I can remember It forever. I am going to do some research from the hostel and head out for dinner in a few hours, after that its time for the night train!

Night train didn't happen. I went out with an old friend who lives in Bangkok instead. We went to a jazz club in the outskirts of the city. I arrived first and the place was packed. After meeting Pontus at the door, he introduced me to a stand up comedian he knew, needless to say, he was a funny guy. We ordered a bottle of whiskey, this is not something you can do at home so something small as pouring your

own drinks was a new experience! After a few glasses, some of their local friends came along and we had a wonderful night together!

Day 32
Waking up with a hangover is never fun. Especially when you wake up to 34 degrees and the worst pollution Bangkok has ever faced. This day was rough and I spent most of it in the shadowy allies with mango smoothies and cold salads.

At 20:40 I found myself on Mo Chit bus station in Bangkok. I was on platform 14 out of 500 or something like that. And I felt like the only white person in the entire place. The amount of looks I got there made this the first time I felt unsafe during the entire trip. I was very happy when the night bus picked me up and even more happy that I actually managed to sleep a little, for tomorrow when I arrive in Chiang mai, I'm renting a bike to go straight to Pai!
