JoAnne and Kevin's Southern Road Trip

Woke up to fog at the Waterside Inn, our place on the harbor in Chincoteague. Leaving for the Outer Banks a little later than planned, we gradually made our way down the Delmarva Peninsula that separates the Chesapeake Bay from the Atlantic Ocean. We caught a bit of sun on the dunes at Cape Charles ... before crossing the 17 mile Chesapeake Bay Bridge/Tunnel. Threatening skies prevailed for most of the day before breaking into an all out deluge in the Outer Banks. As the forecast for tomorrow is perfectly clear, we are staying here an extra day .
