JoAnne and Kevin's Southern Road Trip

Today was a lot about southern charm ... and a southern downpour. We had two nice visits in the past 24 hours. The first was dinner last night with Sharon Scott (who JoAnne worked with at Baystate) and her husband, Dave. The second was a visit today with Bob Brochu (JoAnne's cousin) and his wife, Pat. Both couples have moved to the Carolinas for their retirement.

We reached Charleston (a city known for its southern charm) late today in the midst of a downpour that lasted until well after dark. So no pictures today, but we will make up for that tomorrow. Charleston is the largest and oldest city in South Carolina and has over 2800 historic structures. It is also famous for its Fort Sumter (in Charleston Harbor), where the first shots of the Civil War were fired. We hope to see much of that tomorrow ...
