Today was to be one of our two really long days (along with the last) ... and it was. It took 8 hours to get to Washington, but we managed to do a few good things. Stopped to see the National Cathedral, still undergoing repairs from the 2011 earthquake, but a spectacular building nonetheless. Then had dinner in Georgetown at Martin's Tavern, and sat in the tiny Rumble Seat booth where JFK wrote his inauguration speech. After dinner we went to see an old friend ...
