Europe

After breakfast & packing I walked into the city centre to get a coffee & also to see if I could get a magnifying tool as my embroidery is so small, I’d seen a lovely looking sewing shop yesterday. My usual coffee shop wasn’t open so I headed towards the sewing shop which opened at 10am & had a cafe au lait at a cafe just around the corner.
I purchased my magnifying tool & headed home. We left the apartment at 11am & had decided to walk the 30 mins to the station, it did start to spit with rain just as we left the apartment but didn’t last for long.
Our train was at 1.01pm & we’d booked 1st class, Richards ticket was really cheap making it only about €10 more expensive. The journey was again really pretty, we changed trains at Mulhouse, the total journey only taking 2 hours & 40 mins. We had instructions for the tram - tram C orange & to get off at the observatory stop. We did struggle with the ticket machine but eventually worked it out.
We found the apartment & met our hosts Mum who didn’t speak any English, were getting very good at the miming. We then logged into the internet, checked where the supermarket was & headed out. Lots of towels at this apartment & a sheet on the bed (our last two apartments we’ve only had two bath towels & no hand towels & I can’t remember the last time we had a sheet on the bed).
