Happy Birthday Julie.
Lynne collected me just after 9am & we headed off to the T bar services on the M6 to complete the “patient transfer”. It was timed well & Jill had pulled into the car park just a few minutes before us. We headed inside for a coffee, Mum looked well all things considered & although she walked slowly was fine as long as she didn’t move her head.
She had collapsed at messy church, an ambulance wasn’t called but after some debate Anna drove Mum to the nearest hospital - Leighton, they performed a couple of CT scans & just after midnight decided she should be transferred to North Staffs hospital in Stoke. She had banged her head on the right hand side & has a brain bleed & cracked skull. On Monday the angiogram showed no other concerns & after pleading that remaining in hospital would cause her more stress they released her.
We drove back & Lynne dropped me at the apartment & took Mum back to her home. Lynne collected Richard & I just after 5pm & Bruce collected our takeaway Indian after he’d finished rowing. We had a celebratory glass of Prosecco & enjoyed our Indian. Lynne dropped Richard & I back just after 9pm.
