Nantes, France

I am officially halfway through my semester abroad. Wow! The time has definitely flown, looking back, even though there were some times where I just thought it was never going to end. Don't get me wrong, I love it here. I've met some great people, travelled to some amazing places, and experienced so many wonderful things. But at the beginning, that's not how I saw it at all. I was counting down the days until my return just because being here was so damn hard. Now, I have mixed feelings. As I said, I love it here. I love the culture and the language, and I've worked so hard to immerse myself in it, I'm sad for when I'll have to leave it. But I also miss home. I miss my family, my friends, and my boyfriend. I miss knowing exactly how I'm

supposed to act in different social situations. I miss the efficiency of the U.S.

I kind of feel like a freshman again. Everything's all new and exciting at the beginning, but by the middle, there's a lull.

Up until this point, I've kind of forgotten about my responsibilities back home. It's almost like I thought I wasn't coming home. But I am, so I have to think about classes I need to take to complete both of my majors. I have to think about my future apartment. I have to make arrangements to get my job back. I don't really want to do any of these things because I want to enjoy my time here.

Classes have been going. I'm fairly certain I will pass them all haha! I usually have little to no homework, and I think that all of the grades are based off tests. So far, I've been doing pretty well on them, so we'll see. I'm not really sure how the grading works here, but I do know that 10/20 is passing. I think I can manage a 50%, God I hope so. I also have no clue how to know what my grade now. But I'm sure it'll all work itself out.

I still have 71 days in Nantes, and I plan to make them count!
