And I Will Always Love You

Every time I've been to Paris, I've discovered something new that's made me fall even more in love with this city.

This time, I was adventurous, and tried escargot. For those who aren't as fluent in French as I am, it means snails. Snails drowned, smothered, and drenched in butter and garlic. How could anyone pass up on that? They were delicious, and I would quickly eat them again, if they weren't so expensive. It might be a traditional dish, but it's definitely not typical. Many, if not most, of the French people I

know have never even tried them.

The next day, I was happy to enjoy my last day with my newfound friends in Paris. I climbed the stairs of the Arc de Triomphe and enjoyed a whole new view of Paris. Then, we wandered down the Champs-Élysées and around the streets for a bit until we found a delicious café. I showed off my French, and the waiter actually complimented me!

After lunch, it was a bittersweet goodbye. They were some pretty great people, and I'm sure we'll keep in touch. We had some incredible adventures together, and saw life changing sights. And I'd like to thank them for putting up with me and being such a positive influence on this trip. With some help from my friends, I transferred myself and my luggage to the train station and got ready for my trip back to Nantes.
