Pre-Cross Country Road Trip - East to West - Preparation

The big one for me right now - car prep!
July 7th: The first thing that I did, was remove the back seat of my Subaru Outback wagon (pic included), per the suggestion of my helpful brother, so I could optimize as much space as possible. After Googling the heck out of it, I decided it was time to just go at it, so I ripped up the seat bottom and like the forums said, it was just being held in by clips. Yay, no damage! Step 2, try to figure out how to get the seat back out. For that, there was much less info so I finally gave up on trying to find the right answer and just started undoing bolts and pulling back the, apparently velcoed upholstery. And presto...easy peasy....after maybe 3 hours worth of work! I made sure to document everything with pictures and notes so I could eventually reassemble when necessary.

July 17th: Second project was front passenger seat removal. This was where i was hoping I could store the full sized spare tire and the 12V batteries for the solar set up. So research for the front seat was not as helpful as I had hoped. I was able to get the 5 bolts out that held in the seat and after much fuss, get all 5 sensors underneath the seat unplugged (each connector was different and the release was microscopic even with my tiny hands). I even followed the forum advise and unhooked my car battery to make sure I didn't accidentally set of the airbag....YES, that would be pretty crappy! Here comes the good stuff!
Problem #1: After I rehooked up the battery, everything seemed honkey dorey, I proceeded to lock the car so I could go inside my friend's place to hottub...as celebration that I was well on my way. Well, the alarm kept going off every time I tried to arm it and I couldn't figure out why.
Problem #2: The passenger seatbelt notification keeps dinging like every 3 minutes! ARG! Ding! Ding! Ding! Annoying!

Time for more research = Google. So I tried just manually locking the doors and not setting the alarm, but every time I locked the doors, it would set off the alarm. Conclusion from Google: Apparently one of the seat sensors I disconnected, is the "optional" shock sensors for the security system. Lucky me, I get the "fancy" car and have more issues. So I finally figured out how to put the car in valet mode so I could lock the doors without setting the alarm. Problem #1 fixed!

Solution for #2 is still unresolved. It is now day 3 with the constant ding

Solution for #2 is still unresolved. It is now day 3 with the constant ding

ding ding every time I drive. If your first thought is to just click in the seat belt, thanks a lot for the suggestion guys...duh..I'm not that dumb...it didn't help. The seat belt clip is connected to the seat so the sensor is disconnected. Forum solution: some type of override by turning the car to "ON" without starting it and click the seat belt in and out 20 times in 30 seconds. Yeah, tried that a million times a million different ways (door open, door closed, "on" position, car started) and it still didn't work! So still trying to resolve this issue.......
