8/11: last night I got the shock sensor from the passenger seat (sitting in my "junk" room (from spare bedroom to walk in closet to "junk" room!) and re connected it in my car. So now I have an arm-able alarm again for my car. I hope this will prevent any further break ins.
Breakfast: I'm sneaking in coffee with non-dairy powdered creamer before my 24 hour fasting cut off. (Coffee is allowed but without milk...i am not sure how powdered creamer fits into that, bit I figure if i sneak it in before the 24 hour window, I should be fine.) Since I am having breakfast before the 24 hour window, I guess technically I can have anything (without fiber, nuts or seeds), but I am sticking to their approved within fasting window breakfast; vanilla yogurt (no fruit). I am actually having plain greek yogurt with honey since that's what I keep in the house for green smoothies.
And so it begins.......lets see how crabby I can get with a liquid diet! Stay tuned for my after work update!
Just a warning. Today and tomorrow's posts may include TMI (too much info) for some readers. but I wanna make sure I document everything since I am sure that this experience is something I may have to revisit, hopefully it won't be for another 13 plus years?
11:17am: Officially 2.5 hours and some change into the fast. In actuality, my last meal was about an hour before that due to work. The hunger has started to kick in. Usually at this time I am starting to snack on baby cucumbers, carrots, and tomatoes to keep me full until lunch. I have already had 1.5 tumblers (16oz) of hot tea (tea bags with no sugar added) and have now moved over to the organic Arnold Palmers (which has some sugar in it). I guess if it's not enough sugar, I'll have to run over to the grocery store across the street from my work and pick up some real juice (something I don't make a habit of drinking due to the high sugar levels). I am going all out for this colonoscopy and pretty much doing a 180 from my normal healthy food plan. Still makes no sense to me....eat bad stuff to get tested.
3:115pm: Took the 4 Dulcolax pills.
5:23pm: Got home, made sure to walk Weeze and get her to do both before I start taking the Miralax just in case she isn't getting taken out again for the night!
First 16 oz mixer for the Miralax is Gatorade Glacier Cherry. It isn't exactly clear, but it sure isn't colored....it's frosty white. Hope that's okay. Only thing beside the purple frost I can palate and most Gatorade has food coloring. Got the bathroom prepped with 2 extra rolls of toilet paper and baby wipes, tablet, and wearing comfy stretch pants for easy on off. Got my plastic back in front of me just in case I start spewing from the other direction as well. Only about 4 oz left from my first 8 oz dose...although I think I might have miscalculated that and poured more than 8 oz?
7:52 pm: Had to take some Dramamine after about 15 minutes from starting the first 8 oz of the Miralax. I had to slow down the dose schedule to make sure I could keep it all down. So far so good.....nothing lost through that end! :) I am halfway done with the Miralax and I'm starting to feel back to normal in that regard. The first couple of hours I was really questioning whether or not I could continue. This was much worse than the fasting. I almost had myself convinced that I really didn't need the colonoscopy.
So far for me, the only reason why I had to stay so close to the bathroom was to make sure I didn't throw up everywhere (even though I am carrying a bag around with me everywhere). I had to take a really hot shower cause since lunch, I haven't been able to shake that freezing feeling, even though it is summer here.....like really summer here! But after the hot shower I feel much much better. Don;t have to wear the sweatshirt and be under the covers with 2 blankets!
Okay so sorry if this is TMI, but I think it's HILarious that I am now pissing out of two holes! I know, I keep myself pretty entertained! :)
I took my fitbit off to charge, but the number of steps I am getting from running from one room to the other, I had to put it back on. I am getting my steps in tonight! I just am not that kinda "sit on the toilet" type. I brought all the entertainment I need to sit there, but I just couldn't!
