9/2: And the packing continues. I packed up the kiddies stuff and then entertainment center as well as rearranged some of the items for better maneuverability. I downsized the entertainment center from 2 boxes to 1 and also threw another bin of stuff away that couldn't be donated or recycled. I just posted the last piece of original furniture I had from my first house on Craigslist. I think it's now 14 years old. I guess that should be an indicator that it was my favorite of everything I had in that house. I have to say, it might be a tie between the tv stand and the coffee table that can be seen in one of the first pics I have posted in this journal (where the whole living set was brought out to the curb, free for the taking).

After my dinner break, I go back into the living room closet storage area to see what else I can downsize. The great thing about the stuff in there is that it's already packed in boxes. The downside, it's stuff I obviously haven't touched in a year so I should really find a way to part with it, but if I can just part with half, that's be a win!
I was able to add enough to the donation bin to condense 2 boxes down to 1. I also will be eliminating another box with all of my fishing gear in there. I just need to go through the stuff to make sure there's nothing personal of valuable that accidentally got into that box.
I've had enough for the day. I'll shower and then do some reading in bed. I've recently gotten back into reading. I am reading a book about a guy who's walking from Seattle to Florida after the death of his wife. I don't feel like I've gotten enough accomplished today, but considering the state that I woke in, I think it's as much as I could physically do. When I woke this morning,, while stretching, I pulled something in my neck and was in more pain than normal. I took an anti-inflammatory and tried out some of the Solanpas patches my aunt just gave me. They helped a little, but like usual, the anti-inflammatory helped a lot, enough to allow me to keep working. I also decided to take my 2 Weeze walks today, even though Weeze is with my mom. I think the exercise was good. I've been stressed out lately worrying about the POD being placed in the parking lot. The POD needs to have 3 parking spots together in order for the POD to get dropped and being in an apartment complex, that isn't exactly going to be an easy feat. I did go out today to buy some orange cones. I am hoping that I can get the cones down unnoticed to hold the spots as I wait for the POD. Unfortunately, I don't know when the people who are currently parked in those spots will vacate. I also don't know if the people from the leasing office or the owner will notice and remove the cones before the POD gets dropped.
I am considering having the POD pick up delayed be a few extra days. I don't think that at this current rate I am going to be done in time. Since I have to be in the area an extra 5 days, I extended my move out date until the 14th, so technically I have more time to load the POD if I want to use it. I pay the same anyways. I'm not sure there is much the apartment complex would do about the POD being there an extra few days. As the renter of a 2 bedroom, I only use 1 parking spot, when I know there are many people here that use even more than the number of bedrooms they have. So for me to be here a year and only use 1 parking spot and then utilize a second spot for a week, I don't feel like that's unreasonable.
