9/1: Furbaby-less
First day back in DE without the babies. I kinda didn't even wanna get out of bed this morning. I miss them. I had a nice visit with my family and both of the babies got home okay. I think Moo Moo, even in the cargo hold fared much better than Weeze who flew inside the cabin. Goes to show how awful the accommodations are even on the inside! Despite having held it for 2 days, Moo Moo wasn't scared enough to have an accident. When I picked her up, she wasn't even meowing. She seemed perfectly calm.
Weeze on the other hand got half a doggy does of Benedryl before getting on the plane. That wasn't enough because as we were taking off, she started freaking out and trying to paw her way out of the bag, which I have never seen. I quickly tried to give her some of the back up/emergency sedative I brought. She was good for the rest of the flight till landing when she freaked out once again. It was so much more stressful than when I flew her out and my dad and brother were with me. That time she was pre-sedated, which worked well.
To add to all that stress, I was in fear that she wouldn't even be able to fly with me. After dropping Moo Moo off at 4:30 am (which means I was up at 3 am), I stopped by a Denny's on the way to the airport parking lot and relieved myself as well as let Weeze relieve herself one last time. We then went to airport parking and caught a shuttle to the airport. The shuttle ride was fine with Weeze on my lap. At the baggage counter, they tried to tell me that my bag was too big even though on the website they said soft sided carriers were flexible that the dimension requirements did not have to be met. Finally after a supervisor came, the agreed the carrier was okay. Then at the gate to get on the plane, the lady stopped us and accused me of trying to sneak Weeze on the plane since no one told me I had to present proof of payment at the gate. Then when I was getting on the plane, a different flight attendant voiced her concerned that Weeze would not fit under the seat.
Finally, after picking up Moo Moo and getting back to my parents house, I was able to relax a little. I was still stressed about the both of them adjusting to a new home. It wasn't until Saturday night, after my dad installed the Chubby Cat doggy/cat door to the garage and after removing the flap so that Moo Moo would use it that I started to feel a little bit better. Then after I left the house and the babies in the full care of my mom on Sunday and I got her her report that I finally was able to fully relax.

The kids are adjusting well.
