Pre-Cross Country Road Trip - East to West - Preparation

8/4: Guess it'll be another night of taking it easy on the trip prep. Late nights at work combined with walking Weeze and making a healthy dinner (tonight was Brussels sprouts hash and eggs with a mango for dessert) and clean up after puts me at after dark. So instead I'm icing my neck (to help with pain management of my herniated discs) and shopping on ebay for storage solutions for the car. Tonight I placed an order for two over the door shoe storage. Essentially they are hanging compartments. I am thinking of hanging these next to the bed against the window for storage of essentials. Kinda like a nightstand. There's a small space between bed and the door jam of just a few inches, by way of car design. This will be perfect to put my keys, ear plugs, lotion (I always seem to have dry hands right before bed), headlamp, and maybe medications I take before bed, my water bottle, glasses. .....gee, when I was first planning this, I didn't think I had enough random crap to fill it, but as I sit here listing off all the things I usually have on my night stand, the list gets longer! Good thing there's 20 slots.

I also got some great news tonight: I got my Visa for China. Good for 10 years! This means that when I fly home to drop off Weeze, I can pick up my passport and hit Montreal on my road trip! Yay! Also, if I need a place to lay low....cause I can stay in China!! Ha! Ha!

(included a pic of the shoe hanger I got and a pic of the night sky as I was walking Weeze in the neighborhood around my apartment tonight.)
