2018 European Adventure

Today was Reilly's day. I told him he could decide what we did all day. He wanted to go to Pisa. We took the train to Pisa and things went downhill quickly. Reilly wanted to have ice cream for lunch in the train station. When I said no, he got upset because I "always say no and this was supposed to be his day". Thankfully we got things back on track. He agreed to have pizza for lunch and then ice cream. After lunch and ice cream we walked to the Leaning Tower. It was so crazy! Taking pictures wasn't easy because there were a billion other people there. Penelope took the artsy photo of us in front of the tower :)

This was probably the hottest day in Italy so far, close to 90 degrees and it was the most we have walked this trip, almost 11 miles. As you can imagine people were cranky. And by people, I mean me. When we made it back to the apartment we cooled off and relaxed for a while (watched the World Cup) then went out for dinner. We are really getting into the Italian way of eating. At home we eat dinner around 5:30-6:00. Last night we sat down to eat after 8:30. I was about to fall asleep at the table. I'm not sure I'll ever get used to it.
