2018 European Adventure

Today started off with some coffee and a giant ham and cheese crepe. Not a bad way to start the day. After breakfast we walked around the neighborhood, stopping at a place where fish eat dead skin off your feet. At least I think that was what was going on. We also went to the meat and fish market. It was kind of interesting, kind of gross. Reilly decided to become a vegetarian after seeing all the meat. The nuts and dried fruit was beautiful.

Athens Day 4

June 13, 2018

Today started off with some coffee and a giant ham and cheese crepe. Not a bad way to start the day. After breakfast we walked around the neighborhood, stopping at a place where fish eat dead skin off your feet. At least I think that was what was going on. We also went to the meat and fish market. It was kind of interesting, kind of gross. Reilly decided to become a vegetarian after seeing all the meat. The nuts and dried fruit was beautiful.

After a much needed siesta, we headed to the Temple of Poseidon on Cape Sounio. It was beautiful and our guide was great. She tried her best to tell us stories about the Gods. Reilly had a hard time letting her tell the stories. He jumped in 90% of the time to tell the stories himself. I love that he knows so much about it and he's so passionate about it. I hope the tour guide felt the same way. In addition to the mythology, we learned some cool things about the area. We could see some of the ruins of the buildings and the wall that was built to protect the area. The area was a look out point because you could see boats coming to Athens from all directions.
