Ashvem, Goa

09.02.2016

Arrived home early evening and went to Mango Grove. Our recent travelling experiences highlighted just how unfriendly the staff are there. We won't be rush back. Spoke to sasha who said he only takes £30 a day at Fish Tails!

09/02 Ryan took us to Ashvem to meet Naomi and Scarlet, and their group of friends from Hong Kong. We'd booked a guesthouse literally up the road from their villa. It's about a 10min walk to the beach but it is sooooo clean, has AC, lovely tiled bathroom and rooftop restaurant AND it was only £18 a night for a superior room with an extra bed. Spent the day at the beach and then dinner with HK crew their villa. Met Dan and Phillipine, who Shells met a few years ago in Candolim. Also met Greg and Sarah, Mark and Patrick. They all work in HK. It was lovely to see all the kids playing together. Elodie hit it off with Ollie also 6, Chloe with Richie, just turned 5 (Greg and Sarah's kids). Lovely eve and food.

10/02 Pete woke up full of cold and sore ear. We chilled at the villa in the am. Went to La Plage for lunch but poor Pete not feeling well and had to go back to bed. Kids played beautifully, while el vino did flo. The girls have new boyfriends now: Chloe and Richie and Elodie and Ollie! Dinner at villa again. It was yum. Marinated red snapper mmmm, tiger prawns and various delicious salads. Girls wouldn't go to sleep at villa so we called

it an early night and went to put them to bed. If only Naomi had gone to bed then too hahahahahahaha.

WEEK 20
11/02 Pete still not well but battling on. When we got to the villa Naomi was still in bed, very hungover. We took Scarlett off her hands. It was lovely spending time with her and Elodie and Chloe did a grand job looking after her. Had lunch on beach, girls munching on tandoori chicken, Dal and Naan. W e got a taxi to to Curlies to meet Anya, Bella and Emma. Music was brilliant. Kids loved having a boogie as always. Pete baby sat for scarlet whilst shells had amazing dinner at Bomras with Naomi and HK crew. Bomras has got to be one of the best restaurants in Gos, food was just heavenly. It wasn't a late night as Naomi still not feeling great bless her.

12/02 Shells, E & C had great sleep but poor Scarlet fell out of bed - so not a great sleep for them. Poor Pete still not feeling well so he stayed in. Went to Palm Springs for breakie. The girls had egg and chips, lovely seeing them eat with such gusto. Pete still not feeling great so stayed in and chilled. Went to Newtons as Elodie wanted to get Scarlet a little present. Decided to go to Baba au

Rhum - palava with Taxis. Mum and Dad in one, us in the other. Taxi driver Ricky kept turning round to talk to us - he had the hots for Naomi. It was very entertaining. Baba au Rhum was lovely as always. It was the perfect end to an amazing few weeks (and actually the end was the same as the start since we had lunch here the day we caught the train to Kerala). Alas we had to say goodbye to Naomi and little Scarlet. We wish they could've stayed longer but look forward to going bonkers in honkers in 2 months!!
