WEEK 32

05/05 Taxi to Pai, a very winding road Shells felt very sick (I don’t ever remember getting car sickness before in my life but OMG it is hideous, feel mean for not being more sympathetic to little Ellie in the past, she was fine as we’d given her a travel sickness tablet thank God!) Pai town is cool, teaming with travellers, found guesthouse for £10 night, right on the main drag, v handy. Met up with Kali and Choppy. The also decided to stay at our guesthouse. Had street food at the night market,

best selection so far. There was everOne drink with the KC then earlyish night.

06/05 Girls played with local Thai children for most of the morning, we changed our Vietnam plans so we can stay with KG and another hostel, for the social aspect, we’re loving hanging out with these young travellers (despite making us feel very old). Lunch at Mexican place. Got taxi to see the war memorial bridge and so the zip wire. Both girls dos it! Poor E slipped and hurt her wrist. She was hysterical.May be sprained. Bumped into German guys who are also staying at duang, and then Alex. Alex very kindly came to see us all at duang, I then went for beer with him to meet K and C. Chatted with S about the future and the options we have as a family.

07/05 Lazy day. It is soooo hot. 40 + at midday. Went to IP burger for lunch, Pete took E to hospital for X-Ray luckily nothing broken, as suspected. Pete got stuff for his infected bites. Elodie chuffed to bits as got a sling to wear. Street food

for dinner again – so good and so cheap and drinks with Kaley and Choppy then went to a uber cool hidden bar called Spirit, live music,so moving with them and Alex joined us, such a nice girl, he’d bought El and Clo friendship bracelets - ahh. Didn’t leave until about midnight, we literally had a 2 minute walk home.

08/05 Lazy morning again, girls just play with kids at hostel, lovely just to chill. Shells had long chat with Pip. Great to chat and catch up with all the news back home. Had brunch at Boomelicious then went to Fluid Pool, very cool place to hang out with great music. KC came too. Our girls delighted. Girls played ping pong too. KC and girls all put pure alcohol on heads!! Early night.
