S & J's Big Adventure

Johnny went in search of a laundromat this morning. On his return he said there was a big market in town today. So after a conversation with our host we went out to wander the markets. Consequently, not many photos today.

Note to Hilary. A lot of leather stalls and shops as you know. I bought an ostrich skin bag which does a nifty conversion into a backpack. The colours in the photo's are not a very good indication of the actual colours. This bag is a pale blue with a grey dot. The smaller bag is a nice blue/grey colour and I liked its various pockets etc. Also bought two scarves, three headbands and an inexpensive

Also bought two scarves, three headbands and an inexpensive

no-name perfume which has a nice scent.

The yellow earrings are the fine bone china from Belleek which I have been wearing almost every day. I am so fond of them I regret not getting a second pair in a different colour. When I discovered the white gold ones here I couldn't resist them.

The chap on the horse is a long ago King of Italy and he is looking up the street towards the Cathedral. The little arch thingy is someone's letter box - you can see it in their facade. Cute, I thought. Trains below. The red one is the 300k/h business we came down from Milan on.

Off on a day trip tomorrow of the Tuscan countryside, so an early night tonight. Being collected here at 8.15. Better make sure I am on the doorstep waiting when the coach arrives.
