S & J's Big Adventure
This morning we caught a bus to Westminster to meet my dear friend Anne. She showed us her lovely London flat and took us to lunch along the street opposite the Home Office. The lunch was superb and we had a great time. Afterwards we hopped in a taxi to take us to the Embankment where we caught a river boat down to Greenwich. We discovered that one of the men on the boat, Paul, is a London River Boatman (Waterman) with an interesting history. He sailed on the Queens Barge during the centenary celebrations and regaled us with the history of the river. Pics: New Globe Theatre and Queens House, Greenwich.
