Answered the call of our alarm this morning and ascended to the top floor of our hotel for a buffet breakfast.
They eat some strange combinations in this town.
The guest at the table beside us had a cob of corn in her cereal?
There was a plate of tuna sandwiches on the buffet?
Anyway, we had eggs and bacon. The eggs were cooked to order. Added some ordinary toast and marmalade and a cup of tea. Enjoyed that after a month of Continental breakfasts.
Headed out as soon as the shops were opening - 10.00am here. Went in search of an optometrist so that Johnny could get himself another pair of glasses.
Once that mission had been accomplished we went in the other direction to find the Ladies Markets. Another quite long walk and we began to feel the effects of the heat and
humidity.
This densely populated city doesn't have a lot of green space. There are fenced public 'open spaces' where the locals go to relax outdoors. Reminds me how lucky we are to have our own personal outdoor spaces.
Time for an afternoon rest before John went back to the optometrist to collect his new glasses. Eye's tested around 11.00am. Glasses ready at 6.30pm. How about that!
A little later we return to the Night Markets and buy some more luggage. Have repacked and just about ready to go catch that flight home.
Tomorrow lunchtime, Taigumville here we come.
