Sunday morning, slower start. Johnny went out for a reconnoiter. Came back to report that very few people in the streets, comparatively speaking and nothing open.

We decided we felt like a Sunday Roast for lunch today. Wandered out into the warm, sunny morning around the corner to the St Giles/Shaftesbury Avenue area and found a characterful little pub, The Two Brewers, that was advertising Sunday Roast. We both settled on roast beef with Yorkshire Pudding which had a little bowl of

very tasty horseradish sauce on the side. The meal was delicious and we both cleaned our plates.

Back into the streets which by now were beginning to swell with the human hordes once again. Came across a delightful little square with a statue of William Shakespeare surrounded by fountains that young children were having a lot of fun running in and out of.

Meandering through back streets we eventually emerged in Oxford Street and progressed along until we reached Selfridges. I wanted John to see the facade because it is quite impressive and they had a fabulous floral window display. I've no idea what it was all about but it was very colourful and eye catching. A bit difficult to photograph though because of that human tide surging along the footpath.

Tomorrow is our last day in London. Not sure how I feel about that.
