We had time after packing our bags for some last minute sightseeing in the city. We went to the Qorikancha which used to be the sun temple in Cusco but was turned into a convent for Dominican monks after the Spanish invasion. The building still has Inca foundations which withstood earthquakes but the Spanish walls above suffered damage. Most of the treasures were melted down and the gold sent back Spain. We had an enjoyable walk around looking at the artefacts from the Dominican period.
We spent some time back at the hotel, had a meal and then went to the airport for our flight back to Lima. The short flight was good and we had time for a coffee before checking in for our next flight.
