We were picked up this morning by the Peru Hop bus for the first part of our journey along the coast. The scenery was very barren with small villages dotted around. We stopping for breakfast at a cafe along the way and watched a Peruvian horse doing a Spanish Riding School routine. We then played Guinea pig tombola whereby the Guinea pig was let out and ran into one of the numbered holes. The person standing by the number won a prize of the bakery’s special bread sticks, a horse ride or a go on the zip line. All good fun.
Back on the coach we soon covered the remaking journey into Paracas, a small coastal town with a sheltered bay well known for its beaches. We went for a coffee on the sea front and then made our way to a restaurant where we had a Pisco Sour demonstration and given the ingredients to make our own drink. We had a meal of traditional food suggested by the Peru Hop trainees who are travelling with us.
We spent the rest of the afternoon chilling out and then walked back down to the sea front to watch the sunset.
