San Gimignano was on my very top list to do in Tuscany. And it certainty didn't disappoint. Even our Airbnb host, told us it was a must do!
San Gimignano is a small walled medieval hill town in the province of Siena, Tuscany. Known as the Town of Fine Towers, San Gimignano is famous for its medieval architecture and its tower houses. Within the walls, the well-preserved buildings include both Romanesque and Gothic architecture. The Historic Centre of San Gimignano, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The town also is known for the saffron, the Golden Ham and its white wine.

San Gimignano was on my very top list to do in Tuscany. And it certainty didn't disappoint. Even our Airbnb host, told us it was a must do!
San Gimignano is a small walled medieval hill town in the province of Siena, Tuscany. Known as the Town of Fine Towers, San Gimignano is famous for its medieval architecture and its tower houses. Within the walls, the well-preserved buildings include both Romanesque and Gothic architecture. The Historic Centre of San Gimignano, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The town also is known for the saffron, the Golden Ham and its white wine.
We spend a few hours just walking around exploring every street, admiring all the architecture, window shop, browsing the market stalls (there was a market happening in the main square) and stopped a few times to eat/drink.
