Barcelona

We have reached Barcelona. We arrived yesterday the 21st of August and here for 3 nights. Weather wise it is hot and humid. I've never experienced this type of humidity in my life. Thank God for cold showers!

Today we had tickets for Park Guell. Our admittance was for the 10am session. We left our apartment at 9:30am and walked 30 minutes up hill to reach this place. By the time we arrived we were sweating but so was everyone else around us.

Park Güell is composed of gardens and architectural elements

located on Carmel Hill, in Barcelona. Built between 1900 and 1914. It is an enormous garden with stunning and distinct architectural elements designed by the renowned Catalan architect, Antoni Gaudí. Park Güell was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Park Guell is one of Spain's most popular tourists' attractions.

From there, we walked to Playa de Barcelona. It took us more than an hour, but we took our time, walked slowly and saw a few attractions along the way. Like the Arc de Triomf and walked through the gardens of Parc de la Ciutadella.

Once we arrived at the beach, we hired an umbrella with sunbeds. Only few of us went into the water, we didn't stay long, maybe an hour, by this time everyone was hungry. I have to say, their beach esplanade is beautiful, but I didn't feel comfortable or maybe safe is the better word.
