Trip of a Lifetime - Alaska, here we come!
The forecast for today originally called for some rain to kick off the morning, but when we woke up, the skies were beginning to clear, so we jumped onto the AB16 (Yellowhead) and headed east.
At Stony Plain, we stopped to grab some breakfast at the local Tim Horton’s and then continued on the 16A route all the way into the West Edmonton Mall. None of the shops were open until 10 am, but we did take a walking tour of the mall to check out the ice rink, the theme park and the water park.
Since the day was planned to be a relatively relaxed, low mileage day, we had scheduled some stops at the local Harley dealerships – and we managed to make it to all 3. In Edmonton, we made it to HD of Edmonton and Heritage Harley before making it to Gasoline Alley HD in Red Deer.
To get between the two Edmonton HD dealers, we decided to take a tour through town and see some of the local sights. After leaving Heritage HD, we made a brief

Day 28 – Entwistle, AB to Red Deer, AB

detour via some nice back roads to the lovely little town of Sylvan Lake, where we had lunch at the Wing’in It, right by the beach.
We then took the back roads into Red Deer and our destination for the night – the Red Deer Inn and Suites.
For the day, we logged a total of 370 kms for a total to date on the trip of 14,112 km
