Trip of a Lifetime - Alaska, here we come!
Today was a good day! Not only was the weather just super fantastic, the roads we were on were equally up to the task!
We left Duluth after grabbing a quick breakfast at the hotel and then picked up US2 until we stopped in Ashland for a coffee and a break. From there, we jumped on WI13 south beyond Park Falls and onto WI70 which we took to our first Harley dealer stop for the day – Northwoods HD. We then got back onto WI70 and took it all the way to Three Lakes, where we picked up another gem of a road – WI32. At Granton, we stopped for a bite of lunch at the On Deck Platter Café, complete with many Milwaukee Brewer bubble head dolls.
We then got on WI55 – another beautiful road – all the way into Shawano, where a stop at Doc’s HD was in order. After that, it wasn’t too far on WI29 to get to Green Bay where we toured the block

Day 33 – Duluth, MN to Sturgeon Bay, WI

Today was a good day! Not only was the weather just super fantastic, the roads we were on were equally up to the task!
We left Duluth after grabbing a quick breakfast at the hotel and then picked up US2 until we stopped in Ashland for a coffee and a break. From there, we jumped on WI13 south beyond Park Falls and onto WI70 which we took to our first Harley dealer stop for the day – Northwoods HD. We then got back onto WI70 and took it all the way to Three Lakes, where we picked up another gem of a road – WI32. At Granton, we stopped for a bite of lunch at the On Deck Platter Café, complete with many Milwaukee Brewer bubble head dolls.
We then got on WI55 – another beautiful road – all the way into Shawano, where a stop at Doc’s HD was in order. After that, it wasn’t too far on WI29 to get to Green Bay where we toured the block
around the Lambeau Field complex (impressive, to say the least!) and then a visit to Vandervest HD .
We then ran straight up WI57 to our destination, the Motel 57 in Sturgeon Bay. At that point, we had logged 649 kms for the day. A couple of people had told us about an ice cream shop in Fish Creek, that was apparently a “do not miss” location, so after checking in and unloading the bikes, we headed off in search of the place, and it did not disappoint. Since we were up that way along the peninsula, I thought we might as well just go up to Northport and search out the much photographed section of WI 42 in Door County … that turned out to be a 154 km detour ?!!!
For the day, we logged a total of 803 kms, which included a slight, 154 km detour so that we could get a chance to ride WI42 in Door County! for a total to date on the trip of 17,303 km
