My Travels through South Africa and Thailand

Last night was decent in the end, it started off with just me and Stine for dinner; we went to a burger place along the sea front which done good cocktails as well. The service was very slow although it was worth the wait. When we had just finished our dinner, Jonas turned up and gave me a present, a little handmade bracelet with my name on it in the British colours; it was because he was making this that he had to miss dinner with us! I was totally taken aback by it and I really like it. Then Stine and Jonas sat there and sang me 2 Danish birthday songs as well as telling me about their traditions, one being you must take a shot for every year you have been alive. I did not participate in this as it sounded deadly. We then headed back to meet up with everyone who was at the hostel bar and I got a couple of drinks on the house as well as a couple bought for me by others. We left for the club around 00.30 and headed back to Thirsty Turtle where we were on Thursday night; it was a lot less busier today and the music was not as easy to dance to. From here we went to another club which was also not very busy, but the music was better here. We found some people that worked at our accommodation and we hung out with them and danced dreadfully, not in time with the music. We must have got back about 3ish in the end and I

promptly fell straight to sleep.

So, this morning I slept through my alarm which is never good but even more so when you have a flight to catch; thankfully it was only by 45 minutes I overslept and I had packed everything yesterday, so it was just a case of skipping breakfast and the shower. I was ready to leave within 20 minutes and was about to order my Uber when I realised I had lost my card last night. Safe to say I panicked, I logged into my app and thankfully, all my money was still there, so I quickly locked my card until I had looked properly. I had no luck though; yesterday the zip on my bum bag broke whilst I was out, so I think it must have fallen out somewhere and thankfully not fallen into the wrong hands, so I have cancelled it. This does however mean that I now have no way to access any money, so I panicked. Trying but failing to think rationally, I nearly ended up booking a flight home in my panic, but I managed to reason with myself and get on my flight to Thailand. On my plane journey, there was Wi-Fi, so it meant that I was able to contact my family and they helped me sort it all out plus the group in Thailand said that if I just transfer them money, then they will withdraw it for me so that I also can have some cash.

The flight was so good, what with the Wi-Fi, up to date movies, good food and you got given a hot towel before and after the meals to stay refreshed. The flight went fairly quick I guess, and I arrived at the airport earlier than planned. I was not able to get much sleep on the plane as I just could not get comfy plus I had a drunk man sitting next to me who just kept trying to get me a drink and wanted to sing and dance with everyone, plus to make matters worse, my jaw ached from the waves hitting it yesterday and my arms ached from paddling with the surfboard. Once I landed It did not take long to get through customs and then I grabbed my bag and walked to the meeting place which I found no problem and met up with the guide.

So that leads to now, sitting here waiting for others, feeling slightly delirious from being over tired and just desperate for some sleep. Please others, hurry up so that I can sleep!
