My Travels through South Africa and Thailand

So, this morning was so relaxing, I woke up naturally at 8 with Roger in between my legs and headed to breakfast which was lovely this morning plus we even got table service. I spent the morning just lounging on the sofa and reading a book called 'When We
Were Friends' as I want to get it finished before I leave the reserve as that is where it is from. It has also been very windy today, so I have been quite grateful to hibernate inside in my long trousers as it really makes the temperature feel cooler.

I headed to meet the others for lunch at 13.00 which was so good today! It was a stew with a doughnut dough sort of bread on the side. It was such an amazing combination of savoury and sweet, they really know how to do food here, not saying Dad that your food isn't amazing too! After lunch me and Katherine decided to go for a walk and explore a bit more of the reserve. We found a play area with a trampoline and swings, so we hung out there for a bit letting our inner child come out whilst we jumped and climbed with joy. We also carried on walking and we found a gym onsite! Well, it wasn't much of a gym with only one multi use machine, but it is better than nothing and it felt so nice to be using my muscles again although even in the space of 3 weeks I have lost so much muscle that it felt kind of embarrassing although the same had happened to Katherine, so it didn't make me feel so bad. We continued our adventure down to the petting farm when we spotted some of the animal carers down there so we suggested we try our luck and see if we could get a closer look at the marmoset monkeys, thankfully he agreed and let us into their cage. The marmosets were so adorable, they were tiny and so incredibly fast. We sat on the ground in their enclosure whilst they ran around us, they even climbed on us and one of them loved to sit on my head. There were only 2 of the little devils in the cage both male, 1 was so timid whilst the other was so active and quite clearly more dominant.

I returned back to cubs quarter to have a bit of a pamper night for myself so painted my nails, shaved plus done a hair mask which felt pretty amazing especially as now my hair feels nice and silky soft again. I also managed to watch some horse shows on Netflix before dinner as well which was just the perfect cherry on the cake. Dinner tonight was really something special; we had fried chicken with vegetables, mash and salad plus the best part was a large portion of chocolate fudge cake for dessert.

I managed to get a chance to call everyone today which was so nice, a bonus of having a chilled weekend.

Well, that is my daily update for today so I am going to disappear as

the people from the other accommodation are coming down to visit me tonight for movies so that I am not left alone. TTFN!
